We Alliholics will do the best we can to keep everyone up-to-date about what is going on with Allison and any opportunities that we are aware of to support her and gain Allison some new fans.

We do not know what this means in terms of maintenance of her official website, Facebook and MySpace pages. However, we want everyone to know that Alliholics.com will remain open and active.  We will continue following Allison’s career and working as hard as always on posting Allison information and news to keep you all informed, as well as a fun place to hang out and discuss Allison. Thanks Alliholics. Really. I’m so thankful for Allison and for you guys. I’m confident she’ll come back stronger than ever. The fact that she’s still with 19E shows they still have some faith in her and will continue to support her, but with another label, hopefully one that markets and promotes her better.

    Here’s to a GREAT future! =)

She’s still signed to 19M, I don’t know what that means or if it’s a good or a bad thing. Hopefully it means they don’t want to let her go and will try to get her another label that will give her the time she needs to put together the type of album she wants to do and that will freaking get that she’s not a damn pop princess.

    BTW, stupid Jive.

This could end up being for the best since it seems that Jive never really knew how to market Allison. I am certain that she will be back and better than ever. I know that I am a lifelong fan and will support Allison know matter what. I look forward to the day (hopefully not too far in the future) when I can buy more music from her. Thanks Alliholics for always keeping us up to date on all things Alli. I appreciate all of your hard work :) I am glad to hear that you will not be going anywhere.

I hope you are right! This would be great. Now with Idol or 19 signing idols to Universal maybe they will work to get her a deal there. It might be a better fit too.

Allison is too good for Jive! She doesn’t need Jive! Jive needs her! Well I know that she will be signed to a record company that won’t forget about her! And be like “Oh yea Allison Iraheta is signed to us….I forgot”

It was truly criminal what JIVE has done. I will no longer support that label or anyone assocated with them. First off, they dictated to Allie, most likely against her wishes, what type of artist they wanted her to be. They never allowed her to truly rock out like we all knew she was capable of doing. The most insane thing they did, though, was not even supporting the music that they manufactured. They refused to have her added to the play lists of stations that would help sales. They planned on her obsolescence.

This, to me, is the sign of a very MICKEY MOUSE type operation and does not deserve our support.

That’s exactly what I was thinking. She may have been dropped by Jive, but as long as she’s still with 19, she’s not exactly on her own. Who knows why Jive dropped her – maybe it was part of an inside deal with 19 so they could move her to a label where they feel she’ll be more successful. Maybe 19 and Jive are going to part ways in the not-too-distant future, and they’re moving some people around in advance of that. Who knows?

JIVE SUCKS AND IT WILL ALWAYS WILL, NOT ONLY BECAUSE THEY DROPPED ALLISON I DISLIKE JIVE, BUT ALSO BECAUSE THE BACKSTREET BOYS RELEASED 3 CD’S AND THEY DIDN’T INVERT ANY MONEY TO PROMOTE THEM, ADDING THE FACT THAT THE BSB’S WERE THE ONES TO PUT JIVE ON THE MAP FOR BEING THEIR MOST SUCCESSFUL BAND. THE BAD SIDE IS THAT I WILL HAVE TO STILL GIVE MY MONEY TO THEM BECAUSE I LOVE DAVID ARCHULETA, GOOD THING THEY HAVEN’T DROPPED HIM YET, BECAUSE IF THAT HAPPENS, IT WOULD ANOTHER STUPID THING FROM THEM.

This could simply mean that Allison will move over to Universal, since she is still with 19. Regardless anything will be a step up from the abomination that was Jive…Maybe 19 was sensing the same things and why they chose to go with Universal…
This is only the beginning Allison..to quote you “..never gonna lay down..” should be your motto. You’re best not only on stage, but off stage as well…Keep doing what you’re doing, work hard, and things most definitely go your way… ((((((Allison)))))

First, let me say that while I am disappointed with this news because I am concerned about what it means for Alli, I think we should focus on the future. Jive is now in Allison’s past, so let’s not give them a second thought. I know why people are angry, but a lot of the rants about how people will boycott them, etc. don’t serve any productive purpose. Let them know that we’re angry, but let’s be adults about it. I like the way Alliholics handled it – just a simple tweet letting Jive know that they were “very disappointed”.

Second, while I personally love Allison’s debut CD, marketing her as an Idol-byproduct pop princess was never going to work because she isn’t that person and doesn’t make that kind of music. There are a number of reasons why a move to a different label (if she is picked up; I know that is an “if”, but I am hoping the fact that she is still a part of 19 is a good thing) could be a good thing for her career. As we have discussed on other pages, a lot of people might not have given her music a chance because she came off of Idol and was being marketed as a pop artist. A different label, and the chance to write a lot more for her next album, could result in her gaining exposure to a lot of markets she had trouble breaking into before. Her age was also a problem before. Some people had problems with her dressing in sexy outifts and singing certain songs (esp. “Beat Me Up”) while she was still under 18 and in their minds still a child. Now that she’s officially 18, I feel like those kinds of problems won’t come up as much, and people will be more accepting of Alli’s rocker vibe.

Finally, no matter what, I stand with Allison. I pray for her continued success, be it with 19 or with another group or on her own. I feel very blessed to have discovered her music even though I missed her on Idol, and I know I will continue to enjoy in the future. God bless, Alli!

Actually, 19 and Jive did part ways. 19 is now with UMG, Universal. I don’t know what this means for her, I just hope she still has good management that will help her get her stuff together, even if it takes a while for her to get another deal, that she still makes music and does live gigs here and there. Can’t let her go home and just let that talent go to waste.

Right on Grace…Alli is a very special person, and was treated as the status quo for teen artists, which was wrong from the start. The next stage we’ll see the emergence of the real Allison no doubt.

I agree, they plugged Allison into their established and rigid marketing strategy for teen idols without stopping to even take a look at her as an individual with her own identity. They never supported the kind of artist that Allison really is. So many wasted opportunities simply because they didn’t have the imagination to think and map out a marketing strategy that fit her right. They tried to push her as a pop little princess but that’s not what she is.

I have been a casual fan of Allison Iraheta for the past year. I bought her album and check up on her every now and then on this great site. The reason i check up on her here is because i never EVER see any of her on tv. All i see is Justin Bieber, Ke$ha, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez etc. Now i know Allison can sing circles around all of these people combined, the truth is… people like the music that these “Artists” make. They make music that has no substance and is always made around a catchy beat. Radio stations shove these artists down our throats, and they become super famous because the casual radio listener will by the catchy song they just heard.TV stations like FUSE and MTV work with the radio stations and make those artists even more famous by showing their music videos and giving them awards at the VMAs. Allison Iraheta does not belong in this group of “Artists” she is not just an image, she has soul in her singing. The type of soul that would have been admired in the 60s, 70s, and 80s, but not now. The music industry nowadays is abismal in my opinion, it is more about the image than the singing. She is not pop, she is not yet rock. I believe she is somewhere in between more like Alternative Rock. I wish you well Allison Iraheta and i hope that you continue to do what you love. I will continue to support you. To all the Allison fans: we have to keep supporting this girl because she is too good to disappear.

I LOVE Allison and she has a fantastic voice!
If her talent was promoted diligently, instead of coming hastily to the conclusion that she should be dropped, surely the sale of her album could have been much more acceptable to many. I listen to her CD over and over and I don’t get tired of it.
