Allison Iraheta performed an amazing rendition of Coldplay’s Viva La Vida with Tina Guo on the cello at the Microsoft Conference at Staples Center in Los Angeles. Check it out:

    the dude introducing allison was sooooo not good at what he was doing. i hope being a tv- presenter is not his day job.
    i must say i am probably one of the few people that find coldplay very, very boring. allison and kris made me love the scientist. but i am still not sold on this viva la vida thing. i suppose allison chose it cause she likes it and it is a well known song but i would have much rather heard one of her own songs.

     I don’t think she chose it, I think it was a song the band was already going to play. The cello player and the band performed more songs. I think Allison was an invited singer and she actually had to learn the lyrics to this song, so I don’t think it was her decision to do this song in particular.

    The thing I noticed the most about it was that it appeared she was singing in front of a pretty large crowd which made it even better. Just more exposure which she so desperately needs. We all already know how damn awesome she is. I truly think Allison is probably the most overlooked, underappreciated performer out there right now. That was another super performance by Allison!
